Payfone Honored as Best Revenue Creator and Enhancer for Mobile Network Operators, Payfone Signature Wins Conditional Access, Digital Rights Management and Authentication Award
Payfone, the creator of identity certainty and secure mobile authentication, today achieved recognition in the 2014 Fierce Innovation: Telecom Edition Awards. Payfone has been selected as “Best Revenue Creator/Enhancer” for Mobile Network Operators, earning it the distinction of “Best in Show” among 200+ applicants considered. Payfone Signature, a core feature of the Identity Certainty platform, the only mobile ID that is deterministic, revocable and persistent through 400+ life cycle events across the Top Mobile Network Operators, won in the “Conditional Access, Digital Rights Management and Authentication” category, and the Payfone Mobile Identity Certainty Platform was named a finalist in “Network & Device Security.”
“Best in Show”
As a “Best in Show” winner, Payfone provided an overview during a live awards webcast of how Payfone’s Identity Certainty enriches and extends Mobile Network Operator security to businesses, providing the same level of mobile security that underwrites over $1 trillion in transactions across mobile networks annually – integrating the assets of the top Mobile Network Operators into singular solutions that businesses ranging from banking, enterprise, retail, advertising, healthcare, and Internet of Things to media and entertainment desperately seek.
“FierceMarkets’ recognition of Payfone today reflects the fact that Identity Certainty is of fundamental importance to the identity economy,” said Payfone CEO Rodger Desai. “As more consumers shift to mobile, business as usual will no longer work. Payfone equips businesses with trusted mobile identity necessary for today’s customer centric world.”
The Fierce Innovation: Telecom Edition Awards were judged by a panel that included leading Mobile Network Operator representatives Cameron Coursey, VP of Product Development at AT&T, Sprint’s VP of Technology Ron Marquardt and Dan Murphy, Director of the Verizon Innovation Program. All winners were announced via webcast on Nov. 12, 2014.
